Deep Roots

Deep Roots of Butte

Deep Roots is a photography exhibit that unravels the stories of the Butte community, and recognizes the people this rich city was built on. The artwork tells the story of “then and now” by photographing people and families against a backdrop of history – be it the mine their grandfather worked at, the neighborhood they grew up in, or their long-time family tradition of making Irish Soda Bread.

The story of each family or person will be told with the images with captions and old family photographs and letters.
