I’m An Uptight Mom.
I spot even the slightest drip of water on the sidewalk from a block away.
As I hold their hand, I then proceed with the “mom arm thrust.”
You know the one.
The violent, almost abusive movement of your child’s arm to get them out of the way of a bicyclist, pitbull, or in this case, a mud puddle so dangerous it could require an extra load of laundry (and who has time for that?)
Sometimes I’m so uptight, I stop letting my kids be kids. But that ended today (at least for a little while).
Because I want them to remember their childhood how I remember mine.
Filled with building mud pies.
Riding my pastel pink and purple hot wheels down my hometown hill then running back up barefoot.
Darting through the sprinkler in my black and pink polka dot bathing suit.
Enjoying a fudgesicle on the white painted deck. The one with the metal cover that I loved to sit under when it rained.
The smell of sunscreen and chlorine was always in my long white hair.
The same white hair that my son has.
So today? I decided to get my panties out of a bundle, and let him throw some mud at me.

Mud Pies, Water Fun, Jumping in Rain Puddles, Sledding, Going to the carnival!
What is it?
Your child’s spirit on paper. Literally. I’ll capture their mischievous side – the part of them that wants to throw mud, snow balls, sticks, jump in rain puddles, or whatever the season calls for!
Laughter, joy and exploration will be captured amidst a chaotic mess.
The Session
- A 30-45 minute portrait session of your child or children doing what they do best – sledding, throwing mud, playing in the sprinkler, flinging water with the hose, etc! OR, lets make a family event out of it all and do it together!
- $100 portrait credit toward your artwork of choice – great for hanging on your wall or giving as gifts (online ordering). Portrait collections start at $395.
- Price: $250
* Sessions are non-refundable.
* $250 is the session retainer. $150 of that is used toward the session, the other $100 is used as portrait credit.

How do we book?
You can either call at 406-533-8125 to book over the phone, or fill out this form and we will call you!
Who can be in this session?
I can photograph the entire family, or just one child or a group of children. We will photograph them individually and together.
What should we wear?
We will send out detailed instructions on how to dress after you book your session! If you go with the entire family we’ll send you our family portrait clothing guide, and if you choose just the kids we will send you that information.
Can I give this session as a gift?
Absolutely! Just call and you can purchase a gift certificate. After you successfully purchase the session, I’ll mail you a gift certificate you can give.
