I about cried when I got this text from my husband this morning:
“Jackson is creative, inventive, devious in a clever way. He’s always looking for ways to have fun u0026amp; he’s curious about the world. He ponders things beyond just simple understanding. What 4 year old likes to watch brain games?”
It was enough for me to feel some burning in my eyes, feel all mushy, and just about say “awww” out loud.
I had just sent him a text asking him what he was most proud of u0026amp; loved most about our oldest son, Jackson, who is going to turn 5 in a month.
Men don’t show their affection as much as us women do.
Whether it’s your significant other or your own Father, they just don’t express love u0026amp; pride as much as we do.
They’re called men of few words.
Most men have few words to say when it comes to this kind of thing.
But when they do share these things?
They always have a huge impact.
Sort of like when I see a grown man cry.
99% of the time I can’t help but cry too. Even if I have no idea what they are crying about.
When I hear a man talk about why he is proud of his child, it’s one of those moments for me too.
And kids, little girls especially, always melt my heart when they tell me why they love their father’s. Because dad’s don’t show affection that much in public, it’s more of an at-home type of thing.
Introducing Pride u0026amp; Fatherhood Sessions
Sort of like Celebrate Mother’s, but with a more manly (but still sweet) question, layout and background.
And since you have done Celebrate Mother’s in the past, you’re going to get this for $50 less than everybody else when you purchase and book by Friday 6/10 at 5 pm.
***Pictured below – my husband and Jackson…Sorry guys, we will not be at the beach for these 😉 But we WILL be in the portrait studio where dad u0026amp; child/children can play…think throwing in the air, hanging upside down, piggy back rides, or just looking cool with their hands in their pockets).
What is it?
Pride u0026amp; Fatherhood creates playful artwork of a dad u0026amp; his children, so you and he can look back when the children have grown and remember that even though he often worked late to provide or was busy remodeling the guest bathroom, everything he did was to provide and make a better life for his family.
The imagery is mixed with his typed up answer to, “what are you the most proud of about your children right now, and what do you want to remember most about your children at the age they are right now?” And the words or drawings of her children answering, “what do you love most about your dad?”
Have your spouse and kids photographed, and at no additional cost, bring your own dad and be photographed with him!

Pride u0026amp; Fatherhood FAQ:
How do we book?
You can see our available session dates and times and reserve your session at this link. You will need to fill out the information in the “new client” section, and at that point will be taken to the calendar to choose and pay for your session.
What should we wear?
We will send out detailed instructions on how to dress after you book your session! We will talk about why you SHOULDN’T “matchy-match” perfectly, and instead, how to balance a color palette of multiple colors and patterns to look great together.
What is the 5×10 metallic print artists choice word u0026amp; image collage?
It is a collage of father u0026amp; child/children’s answers from the session. We type up the quotes after dads and children answer the questions, and put them in a collage with our favorite image from the session. This 5×10 is heartwarming, and really what the session is all about!
How do I use my print credit and order more prints from the session?
2-3 weeks after your session, we will place 6-10 images from your session online. We will notify you through email, and you will have two weeks to use your print credit and order your images.
What if my Dad / Spouse won’t go for doing this session?
1. This is perfect for dad’s who are hesitant to do photos in general, because these short QUICK sessions are playful and complete in a jiffy, and are mostly play (not work) and will leave dad’s walking away saying, “well THAT was fun!”
2. If you purchase this session and are one of the very few people who just can’t get Dad to go for it (fist shake) – we’ll still photograph your child/children and create a collage with their quotes and quotes Dad e-mails to us.
When should we arrive?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your scheduled session time, so that you can fill out your question. Since the sessions are on such a tight schedule, anyone arriving more than 5 minutes late for their session will forfeit their session retainer.
What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule?
Because we have such a limited time frame for these portraits, the session retainer is non-refundable. If we have more available dates specific to the celebrate mothers sessions, we can reschedule as long as you give us at least 48 hours notice. No-shows forfeit the entire session retainer. Anybody more than 5 minutes late for their session will forfeit their session retainer.
Can I give this session as a gift?
Absolutely! Just go through the checkout process at this link using your own information. After you successfully purchase the session, pop me an email at lisa@lisawareham.com letting me know you are using this as a gift. At that point I’ll mail you a certificate you can give as a gift.
Can we include children, father, and even add in grandfather’s u0026amp; great-grandfather’s?
You sure can, however, any group with more than 6 people need to purchase two back-to-back sessions. A larger group will take longer to photograph, to fill out the question and answer form, etc. You will get the complete benefit of two sessions (double the product credit and two identical word and image collages)
Can mom/grandma be in the photos?
You can email or call us about a traditional portrait session if you would like a complete set of family portraits with mom’s and grandmother’s. These sessions also include portraits of your children together, individuals of your children, and you and your partner.
